The exterior of the Chapel and the circular Memorial Garden beside it complement the style of the surrounding buildings, being mostly redbrick and stonework. [Right]
It is hoped that the garden gives mourners and visitors a sense of protection and comfort while temporarily isolating them from the world outside.
The Memorial Garden with its rocks and moving water brings an external focus to the grounds incorporating a relief map of the Falklands carved on slate within the water feature. [Middle right]
The plants and grasses around the garden landscape are all indigenous to the Falkland Islands.
