In 2022, to enhance the relevance of the Memorial Garden adjacent to the Chapel, the Trustees started offering organisations the opportunity to install plaques on the inside walls of the feature. Forty years on, this enabled relevant organisations to commemorate their involvement in the Falkland Islands conflict, as well as permit a modest element of fundraising towards the Chapel’s upkeep.
To date 32 plaques have been installed (see above) and are both appreciated and admired by visitors to the Chapel. These can be seen in the drop down section entitled ‘Plaques’. By clicking on a plaque on the numbered plaque key map, you can see each of the individual plaques already featured. The cost of a plaque is set at £1,500, which includes a contribution towards the Chapel’s upkeep. Organisations wishing to be involved can see the ‘Plaque Guidelines’ which include the details required in the drop down box in this section.
